  6. useyourflame: thekewl: danivalentine: This gave me chills.  Jack Nicholson, who played the Joker in 1989 - and who was furious he wasn’t consulted about the creepy role - offered a cryptic comment when told Ledger was dead. “Well,” Nicholson told reporters in London early Wednesday, “I warned him.” That last quote gave me chills Jack had a talk with Ledger before he took the role and said ‘don’t take this role, it mentally screws with you. Its not just a role, theres something else behind it.. maybe spiritually’ (seriously this is true) all the actors that have played the joker role have had difficulty getting over the role, it is such a soul gripping character that gets under your skin and I do believe there is some sort of spiritual role with the ‘Joker’ character. pure evil. So Jack warned him not to take it because he knew Heath wouldn’t be able to handle it like he did. Such a sad and very scary story really.
